Catwalk a GO-GO or a NO-NO

Hey Guys , so I'm back this week to discuss a topic that has been getting a lot of media attention .
and one which bugs me !!!

Before I get into this I just want to state I ABSOLUTELY detest the word's fat and skinny I feel people are defined by labels such as these and its wrong !!! I've met plenty of gorgeous women over my life of various shapes and sizes some who love themselves and some who have there good days and there bad and some who have just hated themselves which deeply saddens me . The message I want to get across here is if you don't love yourself how do you expect others too ,If you call yourself ugly, fat, big nose, stretchmarks first it unwilling gives others the permission to do so , now I'm not saying it doesn't take time to love yourself but at the end of the day your all you have sometimes .
so your imperfections could be someones perfections so just remember that!!

So a big issue with Fashion catwalks has always been to do with there use of models
any time a model of a more fuller figure is used there is thousands of arguments made of the positives and negatives affects of plus sized models . Ladies lets be honest we all cant look like Giselle Bunchen in the morning ahaha

Here I put the question to you , Do plus size models set a bad example ??
Both on the television and radio Professor Donal O'Shea has waned that plus size models normalise obesity . Do you agree ?

I feel we live in a very dangerous media driven society ,that has young teenagers of Men and Women questioning their body shapes and sizes, it scares me to think if we put a woman of "normal " measurements on the runway people go ballistic and start Fat shaming , but guys I would also like to point out the Skinny shaming can happen too ,I know plenty of girls throughout my life who have been able to eat like horses and not put on a single pound but yet I sniff a MacDonald's and I put on several ( CLEARLY AN OVER-EXAGGERATION) but you get what I mean hahahahah .

We are in 2017 surely we can be more acceptable of change ????

Model's like Ashley Graham who would probably be one of the more famous plus sized models we know and love , is an average size 14-16  and 5ft 8 inchs but because her BMI (BODY MASS INDEX) is close to 30 she is clinicly obese! although she has a nutricionist and exercises daily some say she has a balanced lifestyle so her body is the way it is ,SO is this woman a bad ro model because she is a little bit curvier than the Bella hadid's of the world . By no means am i slaging of Bella she is a beautiful and very talented model  as is Ashley .

No matter what the dress size of the model on a catwalk or a runway I think if there a healthy weight and personify a good character then let all women of size, shape, ethnicity on our catwalks including men .Professional model's put a lot of effort into looking a certain Way for different shows and that's perfectly fine as that's the profession .

I worry for my niece's growing up in a world of  being judged on what size you are or how you look even back in my day it was as bad as it is now , but the cruel reality is that is just how the world works people make perceptions before we even have a chance to greet them with a hello .

I myself have gone through the spectrum of clothes sizes after losing 7 and half stone currently  and being a 6 foot tall girl has never helped when you walk into any shop and try to get something to fit nice and sit wear it is suppose too but on the other hand I also know of 5 foot 1 girls who have struggles because everything is too long and baggy(I'M SORRY ABOUT THAT )   hahaha .

Ladies and Gent's I just feel its time we started to build each other up and stop tearing each other down. To the younger generation bare in mind your power is you are unique and we are all made to be different other wise the world be a very boring place :)

Tanning Do's and Don'ts

Hey guys , hope everyone had a lovely weekend , so I'm back with a post on TANNING its the little things that bring me joy !!!

This is my life , my spray tan gun and machine

so i get a lot questions about the tan I wear. I give myself a spray tan almost on a weekly basis , I was not gifted with the natural ability to tan (which isn't fair because my brothers got that gene ) I will list some of my favourite spray tans at the end .

THE DO'S

1.Always inform the person spraying you of any of the following : allergies/skin disorders E.G                                                                                                                      Vitiligo
open cuts or a fresh tattoo
                                                                                                         bleached hair
                                                                                                        are you pregnant
                                                                                                        undergoing any laser hair removal

A big important one to note is if you Diabetic , as spray tan solutions can contain sugar canes if you happened to have an open cut and some solution entered it could upset your levels now bear in mind there's a rare chance of this happening but there's no harm in your tanner being aware of it .

 2. Have an idea of what kind of shade your thinking I.E light ,medium, dark and extra dark . Solutions have different levels of DHA (dilydroxiacetone )  don't worry that's just a fancy name for a 3 carbon sugar ha ha . DHA usually appears within one hour of application and maximum results are normally between 5 - 24 hours ,so a tanner can Gage what kind of tan to use from what colour your looking to develop I  always vote the darker the better !!!

3. Do shower and lightly exfoliate the day before and remove body hair and moisturise ll
4. Remove all jewellery before being sprayed
5. Bring dark loose clothing to wear afterwards and were best try avoid putting your bra back on :)

                                                              Three of my FAVES

                                                          DHA = 10% Dark

                                                    DHA = 8.5%  Medium coverage

DHA = 9 % Dark this i would say  is a great naturally dark tan                                                              comes in a DHA of 13% as well l will have to give it a bash !!!

So a light tan is DHA 5-7 %  which i need to get some of clearly hahahahah

THE DON'TS

1. Do not spray tan after waxing , electrolysis or sauna or if you have been sun burnt.
2 Avoid any activity ( yes you know it includes what you are thinking) which will cause excessive sweating .
3.Do not shower for at least 8 hours unless the tanner instructs you otherwise.
4.Do not rub hands dry after washing them always pat dry
5.Avoid sleeping with your hands near your face as you could transfer the tan..

* An important reminder a tanning solution react to the pigment in your skin so the exact same tan used on me and YOU would turn out completely different

90% of the time though guys there's never any issues with tan's and how they turn out so hope i didn't scare you !!!

Also some good off the shelf  tanners are really good to use

                                                     St.Moriz Penny's €5

Cocoa Brown is an all time favourite always go back to it
Available in Penny's and pharmacies €8.95

Another one i swear by is Bbold an is amazing €9,95 a bottle
