Hey guys , what a week , its unreal how events un fold
hope everyone is well , my heart goes out to any one affected by the Manchester attack , it is appalling that kid's and innocent people are killed in such a vicious manor on what should be a joyous , fun occasion .
22-05-2017 will be remembered forever but not for the right reason's .
So this week i want to talk about "Mental Health" , mental health should not be taking lightly as it is very fragile and we only get one so i urge everyone to lookout for there own and there loved one's May is the green ribbon month for mental health were a lot of campaign's and events take place to support A good mental health .
52% of people have had some experience of people with a mental health problem , weather that be depression , anxiety or panic attacks or suicide .
Surveys were held over the last few years and the results haven't really changed much :
Health behaviors - smoking 2015 - 2016
23%- 23% pretty much the same
Alcohol 2015 - 2016
76% - 75 % a small change
Bad food 2015 - 2016
62% - 60 % increase in healthier decisions
when asked about a good mental health 85% said it was good and 10% said they had mental health problems .
Even using that word problem I detest it as no one should feel like there a problem .
Men reported higher mental health scores than women 69.9% to 65.8 % . Do you agree with these statistics?? I always feel like as women we talk more openly about our issues so you would presume we have a better sense of mental health , but in a weird way I find men don't worry the same way as we women do so therefor in the long run does it affect us mentally more ?? that's not saying men don't worry they just deal with it in a different manner .
what do you think ?
for all you Dubliners including myself , Those living in Dublin report lower scores on the Mental health index which indicates higher level of psychological stress in Dublin. I would have never imagined were i live could account to the amount of stress I'm under ???
When you are upset , worried or feeling down , it can help to talk about what you are going through . talking to someone about what is troubling you can make a big difference in how you feel .
I've had a few friends turn to me lately with situations that they have had and some times people just need you to listen it's okay not to have all the answers or you can help find them .
There are 92 mental health associations throughout Ireland get in touch with anybody to help you if you feel not yourself in any way shape or form , YOU ARE NOT ALONE .
that's a comment I find people saying a lot who suffer from a mental illness or issue , they tell me how they can be in a room full of people and still feel alone .

try to remember you never truly know what any one is going through weather it be a stranger or friend or a loved one sometimes a simple " how are you doing " can open a gate way of emotions and help someone get through a tough day .
we all have moments of strenght and weakness but they don't define you some just need a little bit more help than others and that is absolutely okay and we all should be supportive and understanding of others with mental health issues as it's a hard road to travel down and if someone is opening up to you , they have a lot of trust in you and they are just taking it day by day .And yes it's not easy for you to deal with mood swings , or wondering if they are okay when they say they are or sometimes it might be a hard decision or medical help or treatment but i would rather someone hate me for trying to help them than love me for the sake of it !!!
Even though we are in 2017 we still seem to look at depression and anxiety as a taboo ,
Depression and un diagnosed depression can often be associated with suicide Ireland is the fourth highest country for suicide in the world that is a scary , 1 in 5 people in this country will suffer from depression so imagine losing 1 in every 5 people you know if there was no one to help , some signs are people who really struggle to focus even on little tasks ,fatigue and decreased energy , feelings of guilt or pessimism , thoughts of suicide or attempted suicide and persistent head aches or cramps which do not go away after being treated . Baring in mind we all go through times of being depressed but we will often get out of it as we have reason to be depressed like a bad day at work or a death or under the weather so just note people who are Depressed more days than not are in a lot of pain sometimes physically but mainly mentally and are battling demons on a daily basis .
I hope after reading this we can all just be aware that being nice to someone can make a big impact on someones day and feelings , and when you notice someone is not themselves don't ignore it ASK them what is wrong even if they get mad at you as it could be the difference in seeing them again or not and I hate going to that extreme but we have all heard the stories of people suffering in silence but that is the world we live in today , were 8 year old kid's are getting killed and trump is president so only we can affect change !!!
Samaritans Suicide helpline ; 116123 or SMS 0872609090 24 hours a day 7 days a week these people are there to listen and help if you want them to .
If you don't feel right look after your mental health !

Inglot Demo
Hi guys ,
I've been a bit M.I.A as I've been struck down with tonsillitis , its so SOOOOORRRREEE ;( , I'll never slag a sore throat again .
Hope your all well and enjoyed our two days sun hahaha .
So I've started training a MUA ( Make -up Artist ) with Grainne OB I will do a full review on the course I'm completely finished .
This week we got to visit Inglot on St.Anne street and I must say the girl's were absolutely fabulous in there make- up standards and there personalities .
Zoe and Nicole were there names and the tips and tricks i have learnt of them are unreal .Zoe was so easy to understand in her demonstration and Nicole who is product specialist was helping us along the way . I can only hope one day i will be at the same standard .
Inglot is a bit better known for being more about the artistry and although i love M.A.C and have products I adore they are a bit more sales driven but if your ever in the Blanchardstown store ask Remis for help he is absolutely fantastic . I'm in no way slating M.A.C its one of the best brands on the market and there is lovely people that work there too they just operate in a different way .
Inglot stores also offer 20 minute complimentary make up lessons , so once you buy any product weather it be a €6 eye shadow or a €33 HD foundation , the girl's will sit with you and help you out in area's you are struggling with so there mini private one-to-one lessons with is certainly an incentive for shopping there .
Each make up artist has there on way and Zoe helped us all realise that , especially in make up there's no right or wrong just PRACTISE .
I'm so excited to be able to offer make -up application as a service to my clients in the future it's a long road but one I'm happy to stroll down and put my heart and soul into .I've always had a passion for make-up and have developed my own style over the last few years and hopefully i can portray that onto clients .
Inglot also offer Make up courses where you can go study , eyes , face or social media diva and they have certain make up master classes with some of there Pro store artists so they can be a bit pricey but honestly the girl's don't rush you and they answer every single question you ask so i wouldn't hesitate in paying the money .
Inglot also have trend thursday over on there snapchat so you can mimic there look's and hope for the best lol
This is Keilidh's course
I had to stop myself from buying the whole shop as on any master class night you receive 20% of in- store which is a great bonus but you would spend a fortune . I still bought enough though it's shocking hahahah.
I just really want to praise the girls as they wee so professional and really made me feel comfortable so anyone going to Inglot I would highly recommend booking in with Zoe or Nicole or even going in and asking for help with picking out some products , it was a fab experience .
and plus I'm sure the rest of the girls are nice too so ask and they will help !!
This is the look that was created absolutely gorgeous
I look forward to given it a try pray for me :)
As usual you can catch me on social media

Tattoo you do or don't ?
Hi Guys, hope mister Easter bunny was good to you all and you are out of the chocolate coma's :)
So getting straight into it another topic to creep up during the week which is always heated is the whole tattoo debate . I was watching Brendan O'Connor's cutting edge programme on RTE and was taken back by some of the comments made . Regardless of being tattoo'ed myself I felt the comments made were disgusting and i do believe i being entitled to your opinion but Power needs to cop on !!!
On his panel he had Mail columnist Brenda Power , Writer Stefanie Preissner and RTE journalist Charlie Bird .
L-R Preissner , Power and Bird
Now we all accept tattoo's aren't everyone's cup of tea but some of the comments were absolutely ridiculous!!
Brenda bought up David Beckham and son's claiming he's destroyed himself and stating it is like self harm . SERIOUSLY to bracket something like self harm with tattoo's i feel she had no right , people who suffer or who have gone through self harm i don't think would appreciate Power's comments to kindly, any person with a tattoo has made the conscious decision to permanently ink there body with a design of there choice so it's each to there own , but to lump it in a category like self harm is totally taken away from the severity of the situation . She added " It's like going to someone who self harms saying here kid here's a blade ill show you where to cut " clearly said by someone who has never been or known someone in a horrible situation i hope she is sorry for her words .
Prissener herself stated she has no tattoo's nor is she a fan but people should be free to do what they want with there own bodies and I agree. Bird chimed in stating tattoo's cant be held at the same regard as drug and alcohol addiction as its just crazy , although either have no tattoos they were speaking a lot of sense and gave Power a good run for her money .
Then back last year Katie Hopkins and Katie Weasel had a very heated debate on This morning about how tattoo's affect a career Hopkins stating the obvious like they can be offensive or ugly and the don't give of a professional vibe claiming how she wouldn't hire any one with a tattoo . Weasel arguing the opposite tattoo's are a form of creativity and self expression and often most tattoo's are symbolic in more ways than one .My response to Hopkins is not every tattoo is visible so what do you do if you hire someone and later find out they have a big dragon down there back , Is this a form of discrimination ??? as we make the choice to ink our bodies , what do you think ???
L-R Hopkins and Weasel
I myself have Six tattoo's Five of which you wouldn't notice if I'm fully dressed , I have never regretted any of mine as I have a lengthy process when going through getting a tattoo , but of course some people make mistakes and we are all aware of laser removal and we understand that if in ten years i don't like this anymore that is what I've to go through .
Below is just a few of my tattoo's
I got my first one at 16 , next two at 17 one at 18 , 21 and 24 have a whole sleeve planned and am due to get my seventh in the week's coming . People question and say what about when you get married etc, look any one I'm with has loved my ink and if I wanted them covered, make up is a wonderful invention so that doesn't worry me .
Everyone should be free to do what they want to their own bodies as long as they understand the procedures , consequences and risks involved and once they have weighed up that its the right decision for them then why stop them and anyone foolish enough to get a lad's holiday tattoo or a stupid saying then they have to deal with it no one else so why get involved !
And to those who say oh when your a granny and your covered you will regret it , who knows maybe I will but at that stage I hope I will have lived my life not to care and my generation will all the tatted grannies and grandad' hahaha .
Tattoo's are a personal choice some of the most generous, caring people i know are covered head to toe in tatt's it shouldn't make a difference anyways !But society will judge you in many ways so do what makes you happy and express yourself .
let me know what you all think , share your tattoo's with the world

Friendly faces
Hi guys ,
How is everyone keeping ? do you ever find you have weeks were you just can't deal with life !!!
Does a situation happen where you just stand back and go could i have done more , could i have stopped that from happening ,did i ignore the warning signs.Sometimes life throws you awful curve balls and it can be hard to recover .
I find having a good support system can help and although we all love our parents and our siblings sometimes your friends are the people who truly know you inside and out .
I never believed my sister when she said " by the time you leave school you will be able to count your friends on one hand" but when I sit down a think about friends who i really trust there's probably about five to six people who I'm 100% comfortable with .
I think in each group of friends there's always certain personalities E.G the funny one , flirty one , smart one , Stupid one , sporty one and the all rounder of course there is the exception to the rule ! Ever wonder which friend you are ?? I'd like to think I'm a good friend but of course only my friends can answer that :)
I have my friend Bridget who I've known literally my whole life we grew up together side by side we even had matching jackets the whole shabang . Bridget is that mate who we could go a year without crossing paths but the minute the phone rings or she needs me you are there no questions asked and no judgement made those friends are very rare now i find as friends have come recycle-able , I adore our friendship and hope were in each others life always.
She is the most beautiful person inside and out
Was so grateful to be part of her big day
Then there's the unexpected friend , my friend Lauren who i love so much she's so funny and she just gets me . Myself and Lauren went to school together but only really built our friendship after school but people always wonder how were friends as we seem like complete opposites but were so not she's just as made as i am hahaha , She is a great friend and a fantastic mother , again me and Lauren don't always see each other but when we do he gossip is good !
Isabelle ( inside joke ) were always laughing
The oldie but goodie friend , my share a birthday pal Ciara we started working together over 6 years ago and from the minute we met a friendship formed especially when we found out we share the same date of birth but she's one year older of course ( had to throw that in there ) . Ciara is trustworthy and would give you the clothes of her back if she thought that would help you , a loyal friend is hard to find specially with all the snakes in the grass . Plus Ciara introduced me to Janice who is my wing woman on night's out is funny and out straight and a great dance partner hahah we love our shilling nights so sometimes friendships blossom in the most random ways so different friendships suit different requirements and that's okay too
love her so much
The newbies , there's a few times in life were you come across people and click with them instantly and when i get this feeling i don't mind investing the time in building a friendship , like a woman i work with Orla we just got along instantly and we know how to have a good time , but i always say trust your gut feeling in any relationship , Orla is up front and out straight and i respect her for that .
she is nuts , got any ?
I could mention a lot of friends here some old , some new as each brings something unique to the table but these are the ladies who stick by you through thick and thin , my mam sandy my sister Carol and my sister in law Amy and my .soon to be sissy in law Clare of course are some of my best friends in this entire world and these women have guided me though my life and help me out in ways the don't even know how . They have given me my nieces and a nephew which are the greatest loves of my life they make me so happy .
my mam is my rock
my family i love unconditionally
Just remember you are suppose to put work and effort into friendships like you would a relationship but a true friend will never give up on you , they might get fed up of hearing " i cant make it " or " not tonight " but they will always have your back ! The people who defend you even when your not there to defend yourself are the people you need in your corner
I would rather be able to count my friends on one hand than have hundreds who don't give a a dam about me , friendships are give and take don't be used for your kindness or taken for a fool , friends will differ in opinions and men always make sure hahaha .
this is a tribute to my great friends who i don't always tell them i appreciate them and thanks for putting up with me :):)
Have you told your bestie you love them ?

What's in your Foundation ?
Hi guys hope everyone is having a good week so far :):) it's getting closer to the weekend (do the lyrics I'm a mother f***king star boy pop in to anyone Else's head hahahah)
So i came across an image that got me wondering ??? so this was an oil test done on foundations ,is yours here ?
Mine is the Rimmel second in on the second row it's not the worst amount of oil in it either , but i swear by this foundation it his my holy grail I'm always getting asked what foundation i use.
Important things too look out for in a good foundation is coverage? , does is suit your skin type ? do you want a liquid , a powder or a cream ? . Foundations can take years to get right but once you find it its a good day .
A big factor in choosing the correct foundation is determining your skin type so there would be three different types . I'M OILY but i have my good skin days the key is prep !!!
1.Dry skin , if you tend to have dry skin you need to look for a nice creamy , nourishing foundation with a smooth finish to help hydrate the skin . E.G La Roche - Posay Toleriane €11.95 , Rimmel match perfect (my one ) €10.95 and Mac prolong wear €33
2. Combination skin , probably the most common skin type if you have a mixture of oily and dry areas then you need a foundation that's going to reduce shine and balance your skin tone but not give you splotchy results. E.G Stila illuminating liquid €28 , Catrice HD €7.95 and Maybeline dream satin €10
3. Sensitive skin, unfortunately your a bit more narrowed but you just need to find the most organic foundation which has less irritants in it . E.G Artdeco rich treatment €23 ,Vichy dermablend €15 and Clinique super balanced €29
there is the minute few who have "normal skin " and you my friend can have the pick of the bunch when it comes to choosing a foundation so happy days .
A particular reason why i love my foundation is because it has SPF in it and this protects our lovely faces from harmful UV rays and remember mister sun doesn't have to be shinning for there to be rays we should always protect our skin , anything with SPF 15 in it is good so the higher the better .
so when swatchng a foundation you should always do your sample on your neck because that's where you blend it too we have all seen orange neck lines sadly .
but most importantly your foundation is there to enhance your features and make you feel good !A smooth even skin tone is so achievable with so trial and error and some good make up brushes :)

Do we love ourselves?
Well guys , how have we all been ? Hope you all enjoyed Saint Patrick's day ☘️☘️
So I was totally blown out of the water by the views and messages I received about my last post , it was great to see all the positive vibes coming from all women of shapes and sizes and all from different backgrounds.
In saying that some of my younger followers came out of the word works about how they truely feel and needless to say I'm shocked 😳 by the awful language young teens are using to discribe themselves. Some included " I'm a fat ugly pig " or " no one would ever love me cause I'm useless at everything " and " I don't eat to keep myself slim as my fave is rotten compared to my body".
We live in a day in age now where everything is based on how we look or how others perceive us and the truth of it is guys it takes years to love yourself but it starts with YOU!!!
YOU commenting negatively about yourself will let others think it's okay to comment on those aspects weather it be your nose or bum or skin .Believe me when I say the good days come with the bad and when your a teen growing up and your looking at your slim friend or your pretty friend and there's the friend with the great personality and the sporty one just bare in mind people are looking back at you wishing they had some of your great attributes 😀.
I find a lot of young women feel there pretty-ness is judge by having a relationship or a boy fancying them but no matter what your age you can never expect someone to love you unless you at least try love yourself first . Living in the real world though and let's be honest we're women so there's that horrible visit we get once a month that makes you feel like the worst version of oneself , I do look like I've been dragged down the M50 backwards 😂😂😂, but in all honesty we're human no one is on point 24/7 not even the Cheryl's , Katy perry's and the Robbie Margo's of this world feel glamorous all the time and it's OKAY .
I feel a lot of pressure is put on women (and the men) to look a certain way all the time and when you don't fit in that bracket you feel like you should automatically be banished to a black hole , just remember we are all unique in our own way and we're all made differently too keep the world fresh and fun loving .
Sometimes I adore the skin I'm in and I feel on top of the world but on those days where I don't feel as confident or as smart or even when I just don't feel myself , I have great people around me who pick me back up and tell me why they love me , so support your self with people who cherish you and love you for no matter how you nose looks or what size clothes you where , beauty can fade but personality pays off !
I would rather people remember me for being a good person with perhaps a pretty face haha than a pretty face that's not a kind warm hearted person , what would you rather ????
It's taking me years to love myself and it's a battle that you may never win but ya gotta keep fighting because your great , funny , charming and loved by many I'm sure !
I was a brace face and a four eyes back in the days when it wasn't cool haha and I had a macdonalds brow so believe me there's light at the end of that tunnel ladies 🙌🏽
I always remember someone telling me with confidence, FAKE it till you MAKE it and yeno what those days where I feel shit and just want to sit in and eat , I get up get dressed do my make up and hair and yeno what it's the little pick me up I needed !!!
I say to you young ladies , it gets better in time , don't be so hard on yourself and if there is something with your body that your not happy with we all have hang ups but your imperfections are some one else's perfections .
As usual guys any feed back is welcomed

Catwalk a GO-GO or a NO-NO
Hey Guys , so I'm back this week to discuss a topic that has been getting a lot of media attention .
and one which bugs me !!!
Before I get into this I just want to state I ABSOLUTELY detest the word's fat and skinny I feel people are defined by labels such as these and its wrong !!! I've met plenty of gorgeous women over my life of various shapes and sizes some who love themselves and some who have there good days and there bad and some who have just hated themselves which deeply saddens me . The message I want to get across here is if you don't love yourself how do you expect others too ,If you call yourself ugly, fat, big nose, stretchmarks first it unwilling gives others the permission to do so , now I'm not saying it doesn't take time to love yourself but at the end of the day your all you have sometimes .
so your imperfections could be someones perfections so just remember that!!
So a big issue with Fashion catwalks has always been to do with there use of models
any time a model of a more fuller figure is used there is thousands of arguments made of the positives and negatives affects of plus sized models . Ladies lets be honest we all cant look like Giselle Bunchen in the morning ahaha
Here I put the question to you , Do plus size models set a bad example ??
Both on the television and radio Professor Donal O'Shea has waned that plus size models normalise obesity . Do you agree ?
I feel we live in a very dangerous media driven society ,that has young teenagers of Men and Women questioning their body shapes and sizes, it scares me to think if we put a woman of "normal " measurements on the runway people go ballistic and start Fat shaming , but guys I would also like to point out the Skinny shaming can happen too ,I know plenty of girls throughout my life who have been able to eat like horses and not put on a single pound but yet I sniff a MacDonald's and I put on several ( CLEARLY AN OVER-EXAGGERATION) but you get what I mean hahahahah .
We are in 2017 surely we can be more acceptable of change ????
Model's like Ashley Graham who would probably be one of the more famous plus sized models we know and love , is an average size 14-16 and 5ft 8 inchs but because her BMI (BODY MASS INDEX) is close to 30 she is clinicly obese! although she has a nutricionist and exercises daily some say she has a balanced lifestyle so her body is the way it is ,SO is this woman a bad ro model because she is a little bit curvier than the Bella hadid's of the world . By no means am i slaging of Bella she is a beautiful and very talented model as is Ashley .
No matter what the dress size of the model on a catwalk or a runway I think if there a healthy weight and personify a good character then let all women of size, shape, ethnicity on our catwalks including men .Professional model's put a lot of effort into looking a certain Way for different shows and that's perfectly fine as that's the profession .
I worry for my niece's growing up in a world of being judged on what size you are or how you look even back in my day it was as bad as it is now , but the cruel reality is that is just how the world works people make perceptions before we even have a chance to greet them with a hello .
I myself have gone through the spectrum of clothes sizes after losing 7 and half stone currently and being a 6 foot tall girl has never helped when you walk into any shop and try to get something to fit nice and sit wear it is suppose too but on the other hand I also know of 5 foot 1 girls who have struggles because everything is too long and baggy(I'M SORRY ABOUT THAT ) hahaha .
Ladies and Gent's I just feel its time we started to build each other up and stop tearing each other down. To the younger generation bare in mind your power is you are unique and we are all made to be different other wise the world be a very boring place :)
Thank you for taking the time to read this and any feedback is appreciated , what are your thoughts ?
