My First Pageant : An experience to remember

Well guys ,

I know it's been a while but just been a busy bee and wanted to put a lot of effort into this blog so it reflects how good my first pageant experience was and how it pushed me to do things out side my limits and how it can pay off in your favour .

Ashleigh was the director of the pageant  she is  so young and inspiring her fashion is to die for  and really put her heart into making this competition one to remember , she motivated us in ways she doesn't even know and I can't wait to see what she does next .

So after sharing my weight loss story http://glamandglitzybitz.blogspot.ie/2017/07/my-weight-loss-journey.html , I wanted to push myself and learn to love my body , as some days I look in the mirror and still see my body the way it was 8 and a half stone ago .

On the 15 of September I ventured to Connolly station to board a train to Derry to compete in the "The Miss Intercontinental Ireland " competition , the butterflies in my belly were unreal and as I sat there I contemplated  just getting up and going home as I was out o my dept , but as the support came flooding in I got on the train and just told myself , "I can do this " .
As I travelled towards Derry through the beautiful county of Ireland I was practising my smiles and my answers to questions like a mad woman talking to myself , but it calmed my nerves so after three hours I got off at Belfast Central and waited to get the train to Derry , at this point standing there on my own I felt so scared and still thought about turning around going home , but I spoke to my Mam and as all mammies do she picked up my spirits and told me to soldier on and she's there with me .

So I reached my Hotel in Derry , I stayed in the Travelodge the staff and room were fabulous ,it had a nice and cozy feel which put me at ease .I gathered my thoughts on Friday and sorted my outfits out for the weekend and went to sleep not knowing what the nest day had in store .

Saturday arrived,  I got up put my gym gear on and headed to Corinthian Ballroom at the city hotel for orientation where the nerves were bubbling in my stomach , as I entered the room I  was greeted by smiles from a lovely group of ladies who were feeling the same .
We gathered with Russell who was going to put us through our paces with circuit training by god I thought I was fit but after a session with Russell I felt muscles I never knew I had after a two hour work out we all bonded and it was lovely to see a young group of ladies encourage each other as we got down to the wire with our planks and kettle bells , Pageant girls don't get enough credit there work outs are HARD , t he Gorgeous Emer won "beauty boot camp"

later that evening we all got dressed up and had  a lovely time at afternoon Tea where we had cakes, scones and tea to beat the band , we also did the fun catwalk were Alexandra won "Bubbly Beauty" for her sassy catwalk she was amazing .

Each of us had an interview later that day , my heart was in my mouth normally I'm grand with talking but when people ask you to describe yourself it can be very hard especially when you've only learnt to love your self so I entered the room To be greeted by Ashleigh Coyle the director of the competition , Michelle the sponsor and owner of She's fabulous Boutique and George Hutton PT and an Irish Tenor , so as I got asked tell us about yourself I explained to the panel why I was there to encourage people to push there boundaries and show them selves they don't have to settle and that you don;t have to fit in a particular little box to be a Pageant girl , I told them of how I started my own business and am just aiming to better myself which I feel they all could understand , I walked out of that interview with a new appreciation for myself knowing I am good enough .

This was my Interview outfit

SOOOOO the day was here the Grand Final of " Miss Intercontinental Ireland " we showed up for rehearsals and Ashleigh coached us through the day and how it would unfold,

my natural shot
A t this point my knees were rattling as My stomach turned knowing I would have to wear A swimsuit on stage but I tried to keep my composure and put it to the back of my mind as being the biggest girl in the competition really had a big factor in my mind as I thought I am not skinny enough or pretty enough to do this but I knew for my own sake I had too .
Only for Sarah Carr I potentially would have pulled out at this stage she sat with me calmed me down , and told me I'm here for a reason she watched my walk and we both  had melt downs and laughs as we went on , so Sarah to you I give  a special thank you as you really opened my eyes and showed that genuine people are still out there .
Sarah Carr a true beauty
Fab even with no make- up

Lights , Camera Action so were ready for the first walk the " little black dress number " all we had to do was walk out on stage and introduce ourselves sounds easy but your heart is pounding so fast you don't even remember what you said , got that one down the crowd were phenomenal and absolutely got behind me which gave me the pip in my step I needed

But in the back of my mind I knew it was coming the DREADED swimsuit round as I popped it on and tied my sarong I was going back and fourth with the idea of do I take it off or leave it on , I thought I will never get this moment again so as I graced that catwalk a wave of emotion came over me and I wiped that thing of and the crowed went wild in my head I was thinking " Oh god my wobbly bits are on display " but guess what no one noticed

This photo still makes me cringe but I look at it and remember how I felt
I never felt so empowered and I had women of all ages and sizes come up to me after saying how proud they were and it meant everything to me to know that complete strangers are inspired by a small decision you make to change your life .

so last but not least came Evening wear ,  Debbi 's dress was outstanding Along with Arlene who is just a beautiful lady and that gown she had on won her" best dressed evening wear" well deserved .
so this round is a it more relaxed I kept practising the tear drop in my head( it's a shape you walk in) I glided down the catwalk to little Mix Acoustic version of Touch and again felt like I could do anything .
My dress is from Quiz

The whole night went in to quick if you ask me , but as the judges deliberated  we were could back out for top 15 at this point I has rang home and said expect me home earlier I'm gone out now but to my surprise my name was called for top 15 so I was happy I didn't even expect to place some of the girls like Nadia and Jasmine gorgeous ladies full of class and handy tips were standing there right beside , so I was over the moon to even be considered on par with them , so again we went away only to be called back for top 9 and yet again low and behold my name was called at this point in utter shock I was thinking how did I even manage to get this far never having done a pageant in my life I just thought Sarah keep going .

So it got down to the nitty - gritty and we all had to answer a question Joelle spoke so lovely of her mother making us all emotional while Dearbhla wowed us all with her exceptional answer , so Ashleigh asked me  How would I try and change the Stigma attached to pageants ? , for a second I panicked and then I just said I am the prime example as after never competing before here I am in the top 9 with beauty queens and that as long as you have a message and a positive vibe I feel people will follow, so crossing everything I had hoped I had done my best so as we walked away a small part of me was in utter shock that little Aul me had come this far .

We all sat there with what felt like FOREVER till Hannah came in and said there ready , us 9 hugged and wish each other luck , we war all so proud .
one by one each name and title was called then Gerry says 2nd Runner up Miss intercontinental Ireland SARAH KENNY , my mind was blown the cheers I had a million emotions run through me as I greeted Ashleigh in pure shock to get my sash , I felt such validation in that moment that we can be different and stand out and people will notice for the right reasons .

The stunning Cara Hunter won" Miss Intercontinental Northern Ireland "and the Gorgeous Nadia Sayers won " Miss Intercontinental Ireland " these two wonderful women are so inspirational they volunteer and are so kind and bring real class to the pageants Ladies I wish you all the luck in Sri Lanka I know you'll make them other Countries work and do use proud .

So we all went through and  came out the other side and I am so ECSTATIC  I didn't get of the train that day because I had myself defeated before I even got there so morale of the story always believe in yourself as cheesy as it sounds some days you only have YOU .

Too Asheigh and Hannah Thank you for picking me to be apart of this great emotional journey it truly was life changing and has memories I will never forget , and too all the lovely ladies Alexandra , Arlene ,Cara ,  Ciara ,  Deabhla ,  Debi ,  Emer , Jasmin Y , Jasmine O ,Jessica , Jodie , Joelle , Lauren , Lisa , Lorna , Nadia , Sabina , Sarah , Shannan and Zara A big huge Hug and a massive thank you for making the whole weekend so comfortable and funny from start to finish but girlie's we need a reunion soon .

So guys I'll love you and leave this blog post here any questions send them on and as usual you can add me on

Nerja : a place to fall in love with .

HEY GUYS :)
Balcon de Europa

Long time no chats it feels like guys , so I'm back from holidays the blues are kicking in so I said id sit down and write about my Brothers gorgeous wedding in a fabulous place called Nerja .There wedding took place on Friday 22nd of September

, they used a great wedding planner called Sonia who carried out her duties so well on that day and had no one stressed out and kept us informed all the way to the very end  , so anyone wanting to plan a wedding away give Sonia a shout .

Nerja is a popular coastal town situated about 60 kilo meters away from Malaga. If you have young kids it potentially isn't for you as there is not a lot catered for the young kiddies except Aqua land which is an hour Journey away in Torremolinos ,but if your a young couple  looking for good nightlife or in your mature years seeking sun and relaxation then Nerja is your spot , a side note Taxi's are an effort to hunt down so always make sure to pre book them if you know you need one or if you've trouble walking . .

It's Idyllic scenery would leave you speechless with the view from The Balcon De Europa , which gives a sea front view and is a central meeting area in the heart of the town , where the locals have there businesses and stands to draw in the tourists with the unique sense of fashion and baskets woven in front of your eyes .

The church of El Salvador is exquisite  in its architecture and its position , smack in the middle of the busy hustle and bustle people stop in there tracks to see the thousands of brides who cross the doors of the historical place . My sister in law being one of them , Clare stopped many of tourists who photographed her  as she was a beautiful bride .

El Salvaor

My gorgeous sissy in law

The inside of the church is cool as fans are supplied with Nerja reaching heights of 29 degrees in late September they were well needed believe me was SWEATING .
The ceremony was approx 25 minutes long just enough and then a short walk to the coaches where we were brought to Torre San Juan a great venue with spectacular views for a wedding.

They would leave your jaw on the ground . After a smooth advance to a delicious three course meal ,  We danced the night away till 4 am where the cool sea breeze was enough to settle us as we got taxi's back to our apartments a mere 10 minutes away . A truly great day spent with fantastic people , I wish my brother and my new sister in law all the happiness in the world

I stayed in the Stella Maris Apartments which were located right on the beech front about 10 minutes walk from the town square . A great price for a clean apartment with private pool it was very quiet so be great for relaxing .  .

Stella Maris

As the holiday progressed the weather still shinning we got to explore a bit more of Nerja , the shopping in the town is decent especially for make up and perfumes its so cheap compared to home . Fashion is a little bit more tricky but there is a few gems you just have to search plus the jewellery is to die for  so many interesting pieces you would struggle to just buy one. Jut bare in mind most shops take siestas between 2-5pm so you can shop in the mornings and late at night whilst still going to the pool in the evening , its the life .

Coconut Monkeys in town square

Night life is very energetic our favourite spot was Fitzgerald's or FyyyGs as we named it , an Irish  bar with a pub singer till 1am then that's when the fun began Karaoke till 6 am  in the bloody morning but was worth every second a real sociable bar with lovely staff and great banter .

Another good spot is La Casita , a local man Thomas owns this bar he caters to the clients needs , while having very reasonable prices and a lovely rooftop terrace , located in the narrowest of streets its a lock in job so we will say no more hahaha.

Of course we found a Buskers and a Temple Bar everyone loves the Irish , If you love your cocktails the Buddha bar is the place to go were the jazz up your glass with decorative butterflies .

One of my favourite things about holidays is the FOOD , I am a very plain eater but the food in Nerja was cooked so nice and the prices to eat and drink was for little or nothing .

Pinocchio's , with two different entrances a very busy spot but there Lasagna is worth the wait , Italian based food ,but for a  good dinner before a night out on the tiles it is well worth it . Along with its Pinocchio inspired decor to keep the kids interested.

If you love Mexican Cielito linds is your spot to hit , with never trying Mexican before the staff were so lovely and helped pick a great selection of food which was mouth wateringly good I wish i had of went to it sooner , it brings a lot of life at night time with its lights and festive music , its a must see if you visit here .

Burriana beech is a popular destination located under Balcon de Europa its sand sun and fun all the way , the water is ice cold but when the sun is reaching over 30 degrees its lovely after about 5 seconds :) , the beech offers jet ski's , banana boats and para gliding which I would have loved to do but my family were all too afraid so next time .

Cochran's and Mar Bella bar are good spots to hit as well as the scenery is just amazing and the drinks keep flowing . Overall I would return to Nerja in a hear beat as the culture is lovely , the people are kind plus the food is great , I'm so lucky to have visited there with close family and friends to celebrate two families coming together .

After experiencing weddings done at home and abroad I don't know which I'd personally prefer , your home is your home and Ireland has many beautiful spots to say I do but then a wedding away seems a bit more stress free and gives you a little bit more for your money , But first I need to be engaged before I start thinking of that LOL . who knows might elope :)

Comfort Zones

Hi Guys ,

Well I know its been a while but I have been a busy little Bee , I'll let you know why down below just in a sec :)

As the title says I'm here to talk about comfort Zones and pushing them , as humans its our nature to stay in routine as that's were we are most COMFY , but when we step out side our boundaries a little bit at a time that is when ordinary turns into EXTRA- ordinary and that can be when we inspire others .

So as we speak (or read should I say ) I am currently Travelling to Derry on the train as I am in the Final of Miss Intercontinental Ireland 2017 , to say my nerves are one is an understatement Lads I'm bricking it .To be in the top 20 and to be representing Dublin I take great pride for coming this far , If someone had of told me a year ago I would be travelling on a train by myself to Derry to compete for a title for Ireland I possibly would have laughed in there face , but here we are Friday 15th of September and I am completely out of my comfort zone .

The competition is a weekend event starting with Canapes and cocktails , down to an interview with dinner and drinks and on Sunday the 17th The Final were my self and 19 other Gorgeous ladies will hopefully have great fun in taking part for the Title of Miss Intercontinental Ireland 2017 , I have never done anything like this in my life and I potentially will make a fool of myself by turning the wrong way or saying something ridiculous but its a learning curve and a great experience and one I am sure will be Beneficial .

I had considered backing out as I don't look like your "typical " pageant girl , but maybe that is my unique point , I believe you should be yourself and it takes years to love yourself and after losing all the weight my body is far from perfect it wobbles and I have scars and stretch marks but I am the reason I have gotten this far .
The Final contains three rounds - First Opening number were we must wear a black dress LBD I feel okay about this as I have a dress that makes me feel comfortable so that is half the battle

Second round - is Swimwear and being completely honest this is were I am least confident the other girls have competed before and the are all gorgeous girls with tiny waists and I am by no means bashing that I think all shapes and sizes are Fabulous , But as I said my Body is far from perfect but its mine and i need to embrace it and although ill be done up to the nines my heart will be in my throat standing onstage in a swimsuit but all I can do is try .

Third round - Evening wear I have a floor lent gown which I have worn before but again i makes me feel amazing weather I look it or not and if you feel comfy and confident it comes across on stage and I am doing this competition as me I am not trying to be someone else so I can only do my best .

Anyone famous has pushed there comfort zones otherwise they wouldn't be were they are today  so that little sick feeling in your belly can be good use it to spur you on and yes okay I am not saying its always gong to pay of but sometimes the risk is worth it , you have to fight a little for what you want at times .

Katrina Kelly from Push make up and Cut Social gave me great advice that I am good enough to be there and that I need to believe in myself and that nerves are a good thing as it means you want something , she also told me to be myself and I think as long as you can say that you were then there is no greater Achievement , so thank you Katrina I admire your work ethic and positive spirit .

I am not expecting to win Miss Inter-continental Ireland 2017 but it has already given me so much confidence and belief in myself that anything else is an absolute bonus , so who knows I could be coming back to Dublin a winner of a title as the are a couple too win but even if I don't I have seen what happens when you take yourself out of your little box and where it can bring you .

So please if there is anything you want to do grab it with both hands as one day you'll wake up with regrets saying if only I had of , and that is what we don't want .

What is your comfort Zone ???

I want to take this time to thank every single person who wished me well it means so much more than you will ever know and to know you have a great support system behind you is a great feeling , my family are right behind me .

On the up side even if I don't win I'm off to my brothers Wedding in Nerja so its not a bad consolation prize hahah

Life is better with a Tan

Guys ,

Summer doesn't have to be over for your tan to be non-existent we all love a good glow and I am here to share some of my faves

I just want to start with a HUGE thank you the support from the last post was over whelming  , I am so grateful .

Anyways I'm back to discuss Tan's ,so a "fake tan " is a lotion or liquid that reacts to the skin to give an artificial suntan .

I get questions about my "natural " *cough* tan all the time and the truth is it's naturally out of a bottle :) , I have tried and tested most tan's over the years but here are some of my favourites that never let you down ...I love been Mahog hahahah

I absolutely love full coverage tans , so when I say Mahog I mean it  the Tan used below is Bbold its my go to for a night out need to get it as a spray solution

First is Cocoa Brown ,

This tan never fails me and always leaves you with such a healthy glow .
I had the privilege of meeting Marissa Carter the CEO and creator of the brand , she is just as gorgeous in person as she is on snap chat . This an is a can but it comes out in mouse form , Vegetable derived DHA and no parabens which means it is kind to sensitive skin , it is kind enough to use on the face also .

This tan comes in three different types Cocoa Brown 1hour tan , day to night and the dark shade/extra dark .Having a variety means you are covered from all angles , it is available from Pennys , Tesco , Heatons and Supedrug along with many more...

I find the tan hasn't a  real strong odour an sits very well on the skin , I also use Cocoa Brown chocolate whip moisturiser to keep my tan even and my skin smooth

all over I would give this tan 5 stars its never let me down so Marissa keep them coming , it normally retails in at approx. €9.95

Bbold

This tan is what my dreams are made of , it has gotten me out of many holes I especially love this tan as when i am too lazy to do a spray tan I whack this on and it gives me the same coverage and feel as if I have had one . Plus the colour is almost instant

I use the dark one as I love the colour it leaves , it comes in lotion or a liquid form i love the liquid one as i can see it going onto my skin . Bbold uses Aloe Vera to protect the skin it too is paraben free and it dries instantly with no transfer onto clothes .

you can pick it up in Hickey' s pharmacy , Boots and any other chemist , price range is €12.95 but normally i catch it on offer at € 9.95 , it comes with a flawless leg spray in a pack and it basically smooths out any blemishes or blue veins on the legs

I would highly recommend this tan giving it 5 stars its always a winner

Then of course there is old faithful St.Moritz

This tan I use in medium as it builds up nicely when used two or three times a week , it is suitable for all skin types and is the cheapest at €5 it too is a fast drying , no streak tan so if your in a real rush this one would be right up your street .

it gives an all over even finish it is a mouse so you can see were you are applying it to the skin .I mainly purchase this from Penny's but it is available across pharmacy's all over Ireland , this tan can be a little hard to scrub of but as long as your exfoliating it should be fine .

gain I rate this tan very high and give it 4 stars and that is only because I have to build up the layers to get the colour I desire but other than that I love it .

some honourable mentions are  Tan organic, Bellimianta , Tantastic and fake bake along with many more at the moment I am DYING  to try Black magic tan so give me a shout if you have and let me know please

Tool's

To apply my tan I have moved up in the world gone are the days of tanning with a sock , don't act like you never did it LOL . Scarlet :P

I use a tanning mitt for applying to the legs , Torso and chest ,  the Velvo tan mitts are my favourite they are €3-€5

Then I use a foundation brush with tiny amounts of product mixed with moisturiser to my hands , neck and feet to ensure they look natural and blended and for when there is no one around to rope in to tan my back I use a back tanner and hope for the best .Cocoa brown tantour brushes ae great €12.95

you must exfoliate your skin and make sure every scrape of old tan is of your body because if you apply new tan on top of old tan it looks murky and no one likes that .

little tip if you have stubborn tan that won't budge then use a lemon to take it of the acid in the lemon brakes down the DHA in tan which will help you remove it

My weight loss journey

Hi Guyyyys ,

So this week I'm back with a post that's a bit close to home , I've had a bit of interest in people asking about how I lost so  much weight and manage to maintain it . I'll say it from the start my journey is completely different from everyone Else's and what works for me may not for others .

My first time  realising  I  was majorly over weight was back in February 2013 when I seen a photo that stopped me in my tracks as normally I would be the one taking the photo or the floating head in the back ground and in this photo it looked like I was about to eat my best friend , I felt so ashamed I had let myself become that size . I suppose it never really hit me before that as been a 6ft tall woman I hid it very well and perhaps was very lucky it was so evenly proportioned .

                                                                 The horrible photo

Steadily I began to watch what I was eating and after a slow year I managed to shift about a stone on my own a victory all the same but a very slow one . A good friend of mine informed me of a Weight loss organisation called Slimming World  , where at the time it sounded too good to be true . After a month of back and fourth I finally plucked up the courage to go down and join , I remember my ankles rattling as I entered the door , but after placing my bum down that day I've never looked back .

What is Slimming world ?
Is a life- style change which can help you lose weight effectively or lead a more healthy life without depriving yourself by using Three simple steps

1.Free Foods
Most of the foods you eat should come from free foods , they are called this as you can eat as much free foods as you need too to assist your weight loss. E.G Yogurts , Eggs Fruit and Veg .

2. Healthy Extra
These tend to confuse people but in addition to all the free food you can eat , you also have a list of healthy extras designed to give your body the vital vitamins  and fibre it needs E.G Milk, Cheese , Wholemeal bread or Cereal . Please ensure to weigh and measure  healthy extras to adhere to the plan .

3. Syns
On top of these two steps you can have 5-15 syns a day to use on Chocolate , Crisps , Sauces whatever you want really .

These steps combined will give you a weight loss each week ,there is also a vegetarian plan and one for pregnancy so make sue to enquire if you have any questions before joining .Exercise is not needed to lose weight on a slimming world plan but is good to do to make yourself feel energised and healthy .

Standing on the scales its so nerve wrecking the first time and weighing in at 19 stone 6 pounds wasn't pretty either , that night I  went home and cried bitter tears while pondering about how I had gotten here  and then I decided that only I can change this and what did I really want , the following week after feeling like I had stuffed myself to the gills I had lost SIX POUNDS the smile couldn't  be wiped of my face  and I  constantly lost for a number of weeks after that having two losses which equal the biggest loss in group over two weeks means you win slimmer of the week a little token to say well done , with winning this on numerous occasions I knew I was on a roll   , I dropped 4 and half stone in the first Three months but still the changes in my body were small , yes I was down dress sizes but the mental demons were still there and with being a slightly taller female than your average girl my clothes still fitted me so to be I couldn't see any changes , everyone else could but I just was blind it .

This pink dress was when I noticed a difference myself

I was coasting then for roughly a year for every pound I was down , I was putting back on two the following week , again I had to sit down and really dig deep to see what I really wanted or decide to call target and end my weight loss journey there , but  I knew deep down I still wanted to go for more it was just getting a bit harder , so I shook things up with the plan like swapping lunch meals for dinner meals and after a slow few weeks  feeling like I  was plodding along  granted I dropped another stone along with a few pounds . After receiving another award I was happy  with life and  I carried on chipping away at the weight taken each week in my stride I had joined Zumba I  had been out walking I honestly started to notice how much quicker I had gotten and the spring back in my step.

Sadly I reach a point in my journey where I last control , my grandad had passed plus  I had a bad accident which left me bed ridden for 3 months and UN able to walk properly for 5 , with being out of work and out of routine for 7 months I wallowed in self pity and over indulged more than I should have and ended up piling back on a little under 2 stone . Feeling like I had failed and with  my heart in my mouth I desperately debated joining back as I was so ashamed of gaining back the weight , but after plenty of chats with my group consultant and my family I managed to hobble back into group and was welcomed with applause , my group are like a family and I wouldn't have it any other way the support we have for each other just keeps you going on them dreary weeks where you are just eating yourself into oblivion .

Again I started back at basics and began my journey like new and with hard work started back again on the right track and nearly two years later I am still a few pounds away from target but with 8 and a half stone weight loss I am chuffed to be coming to end of it . Even though its a life style change and my weight is something that will fluctuate from time to time , I have the tools to help me cope . I still have my good weeks and my bad weeks but we take it each meal at a time and keep going from there and sometimes we have to just have our bad weeks and draw a line in the sand and keep moving forward because at times we are our own worst enemies .

Please excuse the bin in the photo so classy

As we need food to live its a life journey I am on but Slimming world has changed my life for the better and I couldn't do it without my Mother's support she is my friend , my chief and my rock .She herself has lost nearly a whopping 3 and a half stone and she too remains on her path , but along with our tears and giggles in group we will get there . My brother's wedding is less than 8 weeks away and I am determined to call Target before it . I won woman of the year in my group in 2016 and it really opened my eyes as other members were telling me of how my input in group helps them and I realised staying to your group is part of the package it really can be the difference between a bad or amazing week , its one hour out of 168 your worth it .

If you are struggling with your weight or are a person who just wants a healthier eating lifestyle I urge you to attend a group near you because you won't be sorry .Sometimes I forget how far I have come and when I am still reaching for the big size at the back of the rail or wearing baggy tops we fall back into old habit's so easily its scary but although that day I walked into slimming world was a very scary day it was also the day that changed my life for the better .

Today was very challenging , it  was possibly the first  time I had put on a swimsuit since I  was a teenager , my eyes filled with tears as the fear I felt from wearing it was overwhelming , I got into the swimming pool with a sick feeling in my tummy but once I realised  it wasn't the end of the world , I don't look as bad as i have visioned in my head and that no one else will care if I don't ,   I began to feel happy as I had stepped out of my comfort zone and I started to feel comfortable in my own skin and that my friends is no better feeling.

My two young nieces are so inspiring to me and I want to show them that you need to love yourself , putting that swimming suit on today might only be a minor step but the significance of it is so unreal , I never thought I would be seen out in public in a swimsuit and today that changed so to slimming world I say thank you for changing how I think of me .

And too you I say maybe the next time you see someone who is pushing themselves out of there comfort zone don't slag or snigger as you don't know the impact of the word "fat " " slow " " stupid " and how it can detere one persons confidence.
