Tattoo you do or don't ?

Hi Guys, hope mister Easter bunny was good to you all and you are  out of the chocolate coma's :)

So getting straight into it another topic to creep up during the week which is always heated is the whole tattoo debate . I was watching Brendan O'Connor's cutting edge programme on RTE and was taken back by some of the comments made .  Regardless of being tattoo'ed myself I felt the comments made were disgusting and i do believe i being entitled to your opinion but Power needs to cop on !!!

On his panel he had Mail columnist Brenda Power , Writer Stefanie Preissner and RTE journalist Charlie Bird .
L-R Preissner , Power and Bird

Now we all accept tattoo's aren't everyone's cup of tea but some of the comments were absolutely ridiculous!!

Brenda bought up David Beckham and son's claiming he's destroyed himself and stating it is like self harm . SERIOUSLY  to bracket something like self harm with tattoo's i feel she had no right , people who suffer or who have gone through self harm i don't think would appreciate Power's comments to kindly, any person with a tattoo has made the conscious decision to permanently ink there body with a design of there choice so it's each to there own , but to lump it in a category like self harm is totally taken away from the severity of the situation . She added " It's like going to someone who self harms saying here kid here's a blade ill show you where to cut " clearly said by someone who has never been or known someone in a horrible situation i hope she is sorry for her words .

Prissener herself stated she has no tattoo's nor is she a fan but people should be free to do what they want with there own bodies and I agree. Bird chimed in stating tattoo's cant be held at the same regard as drug and alcohol addiction as its just crazy , although either have no tattoos they were speaking a lot of sense and gave Power a good run for her money .

Then back last year Katie Hopkins and Katie Weasel had a very heated debate on This morning about how tattoo's affect a career Hopkins stating the obvious like they can be offensive or ugly and the don't give of a professional vibe claiming how she wouldn't hire any one with a tattoo . Weasel arguing the opposite tattoo's are a form of creativity and self expression and often most tattoo's are symbolic in more ways than one .My response to Hopkins is not every tattoo is visible so what do you do if you hire someone and later find out they have a big dragon down there back , Is this a form of discrimination ??? as we make the choice to ink our bodies , what do you think ???

                                                            L-R Hopkins and Weasel

I myself have Six tattoo's Five of which you wouldn't notice if I'm fully dressed , I have never regretted any of mine as I have a lengthy process when going through getting a tattoo , but of course some people make mistakes and we are all aware of laser removal and we understand that if in ten years i don't like this anymore that is what I've to go through .
Below is just a few of my tattoo's

I got my first one at 16 , next two at 17 one at 18 , 21 and 24  have a whole sleeve planned and am due to get my seventh in the week's coming . People question and say what about when you get married etc, look any one I'm with has loved my ink and if I wanted them covered, make up is a wonderful invention so that doesn't worry me .

Everyone should be free to do what they want to their own bodies as long as they understand the procedures , consequences and risks involved and once they have weighed up that its the right decision for them then why stop them and anyone foolish enough to get a lad's holiday tattoo or a stupid saying then they have to deal with it no one else so why get involved !

And to those who say oh when your a granny and your covered you will regret it , who knows maybe I will but at that stage I hope I will have lived my life not to care and my generation will all the tatted grannies and grandad' hahaha .

Tattoo's are a personal choice some of the most generous, caring people i know are covered head to toe in tatt's it shouldn't make a difference anyways !But society will judge you in many ways so do what makes you happy and express yourself .

let me know what you all think , share your tattoo's with the world
